Educating students with DYSLEXIA and ADHD, and other specific learning disabilities and language processing disorders with full accommodations in a college prep environment.

Open Enrollment for 2014-15 school year begins April 5, 2014
For students in 3rd through 10th Grade 
**We only accept application from 11th and 12th grade students under special circumstances.

Students 16 years of age are elidgible for our concurrent college program. They will earn college credit at Wayland Baptist University.

Sharp Academy accepts students all through the school year.

Sharp Academy was founded in 2009 with one mission: 

Teaching bright students who learn differently to reach their God-given potential and preparing them for college and life. 

Sharp Academy provides:  
Ø Christian Core Values 
Ø Individualized programs and education goals
Small teacher to student ratio
Ø    No mandatory homework

Ø Duel Credit courses available through Wayland Baptist  University

Ø Teachers trained to teach students with learning differences

Ø ACT and SAT college preparatory 
Ø we are an official testing center for the ACT with 
full accommodations 



Overall test scores increased 16% from 2012 to 2013. 
Our students continue to test above grade level in all core subjects.


Structure of Intellect –SOI
12 Full Scholarships available funded by the Helen Jones Foundation
Scholarships Provide the Following:
Learning Assessment and 8 Private Learning Sessions

This summer program has a value of $800 per student that is completely covered by the scholarship. Learning Sessions can be scheduled June 16 through August 8

Structure of Intellect profiles the following areas: cognition, evaluation, memory, creativity, and problem-solving, and creates a written therapy to strengthen weaknesses in identified learning areas!
Therapy Sessions available Mon/Wed or Tue/Thur
Students attend 30 minute Learning Sessions twice per week for 4 weeks.

Structure of Intellect Learning Sessions are individualized based on the Learning needs of each student that are determined by their assessment scores.

Students participate in a therapy that strengthens and builds memory skills, visual skills and listening skills.  These brain building exercises will support better learning in all subjects in the classroom.

This summer program will help students prepare for the coming school year!
